On Remembrance Day, I remember and honour those members of my family and ancestors who fought to defend us in wars and conflicts. Let us never forget them.

In Niagara-on-the-Lake a team of volunteers from the NOTL Museum hand-made hundreds of poppies to adorn the old Court House on Queen Street, opposite the Cenotaph which honours the war dead. More are to be found hanging from the museum bell tower and in a poppy garden of remembrance outside, where individual poppies commemorate the names and death dates of the town’s soldiers.
